Tobias Brown is Managing Director of B2H Scout (Business 2 Hospitality), an independent advisory service providing development and investment support for both corporate and resort developers, as well as investors in the Hospitality industry. Bringing almost 30 years of hotel operational and development experience in Hospitality, Tobias startet out as kitchen pot washer, working his way up to senior roles in operations, sales & marketing and management within the luxury hotel and tourism industry in Germany, USA and United Kingdom before founding B2H Scout. Today, B2H Scout focuses on scouting, acquisition, positioning, branding, franchising, investment & operator searches, business models, transaction support, contract negotiations, concept planning, and operational support with interim management for hotel turnarounds and distressed assets. To date lodging concepts have included a wide spectrum of hostels, serviced-stay, budget economy, midscale hotels, independent and branded properties, from boutique/ designer to midscale full service resort hotels with rental and exchange concepts; new build, conversions and mixed-use. Current and recent development and investment activities have focused in D-A-CH, CEE, SEE regions and more recently mixed-use resorts and other alternative lodging concepts in the Adriatic, focusing on Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. Since March 2016 Tobias is also Operating Partner of Cornucopia Capital Ltd., a boutique equity fund focused on deal origination, financing and investment with particular expertise in the property, retail and leisure sectors. More recently Tobias was responsible for heading up the development and roll out of the easyHotel low budget brand in its new conceptual look via acquisition, lease and franchising in primary and secondary cities in DACH, CEE, CIS and Nordic regions, implementing an ‘Op.Co’ / ‘Prop.Co.’ strategy, with particular focus on conversions and turn-key opportunities and franchising in Israel. Tobias holds degrees and diplomas from Westminster College, London and Cornell University, Ithaca, USA. As an active member of the Cornell University Alumni (1996), he is a Founding Member of the CHS AlpAdria & Eastern European Chapter, also Regional Director of the CHS German Chapter and regularly sponsors / supports students and Cornell Chapter events within DACH, SEE & CEE regions.
