American by origin, Erik Webb Dempsey moved to Prague in 1993 and evolved a diverse financial and entrepreneurial background with an expertise in Real Estate, finance, acquisitions and enterprise IT systems. Erik began his real estate career in the mid-90’s at Jones Lang Wooton’s (JLL) Prague office where he focused on commercial real estate development advisory and debt placement as well as custom-developing IT and real estate research databases that were pioneer at the time. In the 2000s he transitioned to his own advisory firm focused on Residential assets and co-founded a fund focused on residential portfolios with regulated tenancies. Beginning in 2009, Erik spent 7 years working abroad in the UAE and Saudi Arabia working under CFO/CIO roles and 4 years in Scandinavia as CFO of a nanotech startup. Erik joined the hotel group Julius Meinl Living in January 2020 being responsible for finance, debt placements, valuations, IT systems and acquisitions of a growing portfolio in Europe. Erik has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Florida State University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
