With a notable career history in the luxury hospitality industry, Duarte is an innovative and dynamic leader who has worked with prestigious brands in various locations across the world, including London, Vietnam, Mauritius, Tanzania, the Caribbean, and Europe. He began his journey by refining his skills in luxury boutique hotels and then went on to become one of the youngest general managers in the luxury hotel industry at the age of 26. Duarte has consistently shown a dedication to fostering dynamic service cultures, maintaining a youthful spirit, and achieving a successful track record over the course of his career. He has initiated and implemented several programs aimed at fostering people's potential and cultural growth, such as establishing a Butler Academy in central Vietnam, designing award-winning wellness journeys inspired by Maasai culture, launching a Swahili Cooking School in Zanzibar, and initiating philanthropic efforts in the Caribbean aimed at helping disadvantaged children and endangered sea turtles, among others. Despite his humble beginnings in Madeira Island, Duarte pursued his passion for hospitality and went on to become a successful Hotelier, currently serving as the General Manager for the renowned Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, the world's most luxurious hotel group. His non-conformist approach to life and a relentless desire to succeed have fueled his success. He hopes to inspire others to believe in themselves and follow their dreams, even against all odds.
