The first half of 2022 registered an intense hotel investment activity. With 1.52 billion euros by the end of June, investment volume in Spain was 34.5% higher than the previous year (YoY), the third-best historical record.

Said growth trend seems even more positive when taking a glance at the last 12 months with investment totalling 3.58 billion euros. This underlines the
recovery of investors’ confidence and hearty appetite for investing in the Spanish hotel sector, in addition to the existing liquidity in the market.

A total of 68 deals were executed (10,144 rooms) including transactions of existing hotels, buildings for conversion into hotels and land plots for hotel
developments.
